Rules Of Red
The Basic Premise of Red
RED is a new way to play and switch things up from the classic game of golf. RED is meant to be played with a group of friends who want to bet something but don’t want to break the bank.
Quarters are the way you keep score & the goal is to acquire as many quarters as possible by the end of the round.
Each player starts off with $5.00 (20 quarters).
If you lose all 20 quarters before the end of the round you are Knocked Out.
If you birdie you get a quarter from each player, if you bogey you give a quarter to each player, and if you par your square.
Pay out after every hole so you physically have to hand someone that quarter.
Before each hole you blind draw which tee you will play from.
(Optional) On par 4’s & 5’s you can only hit the driver off the tee, regardless of which tee you are playing.
You can hit it 20 feet or go for the green but the driver has to be in your hands if you play this rule.
After the round is complete have everyone count their quarters and record scores. RED has evolved quite a bit since its inception, so we continue to adjust and add things as necessary to make it better and more exciting to play.

Red Golf
All Out of Bounds and Water Hazards will be played as if they were Lateral Hazards (Red Stakes, hence the name RED).
Helps with pace of play and also allows for a better chance to save par/stay in the hole.
THE BAG – This contains the blind draw for which tee you will play along with $5.00 in quarters.
THE BAG is considered a player, he only bogeys and never three putts.
If you make a par or better than you are allowed to collect quarters from the bag.
This rule allows for their to be more money in play and keeps quarters moving around the group.
(Optional) If a player makes a double bogey they must pay the bag.
Three Jack Rule (Gamers Rule) – If a player is on the green in regulation (Putting for birdie) and 3 Jacks it he must pay every player in the group, including THE BAG.
All side bets are fair game!!!
If you’re out of the hole, you may pick up.
